Petite Shell 97 • Tanyin Travertine

Petite Shell 97 • Tanyin Travertine

A 19th-century French Provincial fireplace in the style of Louis XV, the Petite Shell 97 in Tanyin Travertine features an exquisite hand-carved shell cartouche, a classic serpentine moulded shelf and frieze with panel detailing, and lozenge-carved jambs. The travertine used to craft this fireplace was sourced from now-closed quarries, making this material increasingly rare. With no new blocks being extracted, what remains is limited, offering a unique opportunity to own a truly distinctive piece.
