Rococo 297 • Calacatta Viola Marble

A 19th-century French fireplace in the Louis XV style, the Rococo 297 fireplace exemplifies the decorative detailing of the Rococo period. The design features a classic serpentine moulded shelf and a panelled frieze, an exquisite shell cartouche surrounded by foliate motifs, which are echoed on the end blocks. The scrolled, fielded jambs are adorned with acanthus leaves.

  • Collection

The Louis Revival collection brings together a curated selection of designs inspired by antique fireplaces from the Louis XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI periods. Spanning the 17th and 18th centuries, these styles trace the evolution of French architecture—from the structured, geometric forms of Louis XIII, through the opulence and elaborate carving of Louis XV, to the refined symmetry of Louis XVI. Defined by hand-carved detail, graceful lines, and considered proportions, each surround draws on the exquisite historic references to create a distinctive focal point in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
