Rococo 297 • Fireplace Design
A 19th-century French fireplace in the Louis XV style, the Rococo 297 fireplace exemplifies the decorative detailing of the Rococo period. The design features a classic serpentine moulded shelf and a panelled frieze, an exquisite shell cartouche surrounded by foliate motifs, which are echoed on the end blocks. The scrolled, fielded jambs are adorned with acanthus leaves.
