The Ascot is an original antique Victorian fireplace, circa 1885, carved from Belgian Brèche de Waulsort marble, accented with contrasting black marble detailing. The scale and proportion of the surround, typical of the late 19th century, combined with the earthy marble tones, offer a strong architectural presence.
Sourced from a historically significant, heritage-listed estate in Melbourne, it has been carefully removed and restored at our Melbourne warehouse. Each component has been meticulously refinished to retain its original character while preparing it for installation in a contemporary setting.
A rare and highly individual piece, it brings depth, history, and a sense of permanence to any interior.
